Mary's Sketches

At Minut Init Studio, I met this amazing sketch artist, well artist in whole. She has a unique style and i just want to share her to the world. Here is her bio.

Mary or Maryam was born in Kuala Lumpur. Earned a Degree in Fine Arts in 2009 from Birmingham
  City University, United Kingdom.

She did photography and painting works during her early years, and now focuses primarily on
colour pencil drawing and documenting contemporary of 'human beings'. She got her work style
influenced by Nimit Malavia and Kareena Zerefos. The figure she draws contain an air of
subtleness. They exist in their own realm, yet at the same time present a sense of accessibility that
  draws the observer to them.

Here are her Sketches with some descriptions which i added in by myself :

In the sea of soul of numb faces, there was only one that shines like a beacon. A beauty that fades the world away with the complexion that is carved by the golden hands of god himself. She was truly beautiful.

To lie here and forget the pain of the world with a fresh new coat of snow that wipes the decaying leaves of autumn evil hands.

Just drinking. Nothing more to say.

Her lips. Her lips as red as the blood and as sweet as a strawberry. Oh her lips carcass my soul turning this mortal man into a blood thirsty beast crying for the taste of her lips and by her lips she will turn thee into a sweet tooth toddler hogging his candy.

She dances with the wind in her hair. By the colour of the spectrum, her hair flows in the delight of the rainbow waltz.

What do you see? A doctor and a patient or Two Junkies? You're perspective is different from mine and with that I let you describe this by yourself. Cool Hair though, dont you think?

This is a story of a girl and a boy. It maybe a love story. They maybe lovers meeting for the first time. It maybe a family story. They maybe brother and sister. It maybe two assassin that about to kill each other. No  one knows. All we can say is that, this is a story of a boy who walks pass a girl, like in any ordinary day of a city life. Imagine how many times have you pass a girl or a boy that could be your lover....but you just didnt know it yet....

And so Bear Paws journey deeper into the unfamiliar jungle while keeping his guard up. The jungle is filled with fast metallic animals on four wheels. The habitants lives in tree houses that touches the heaves. The ground in tough and almost impossible to dig. Bear Paws, a child hunter from the Apache Tribe of the old west is now lost in modern day New York City.

We kissed. I felt her tongue slithering around mine as we tie knots in our mouths. Each fluid transaction and each touch brings a colourful buzz in my mind. Its feels like a drug. And now i am addicted to it.

Cherish all your happy moments; they make a fine cushion for old age.

The Owl & The Pussycat by Edwar Lear

The Owl and The Pussycat - By Dill Malik

I
The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
'O lovely Pussy! O Pussy my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
          You are,
          You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!'

II
Pussy said to the Owl, 'You elegant fowl!
    How charmingly sweet you sing!
O let us be married! too long we have tarried:
But what shall we do for a ring?'
They sailed away, for a year and a day,
To the land where the Bong-tree grows
And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood
With a ring at the end of his nose,
          His nose,
          His nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose.

III
'Dear pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your ring?' Said the Piggy, 'I will.'
So they took it away, and were married next day
By the Turkey who lives on the hill.
They dined on mince, and slices of quince,
    Which they ate with a runcible spoon;
And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon,
          The moon,
          The moon,
They danced by the light of the moon.

PS: Wanted to share the poem with you readers because of the painting above is based on the poem. The painting is by a friend of mine. It is an awesome painting and so is the artist. So yeah. By the way, am i the only one who thinks this poem is a bit sick for nursery rhymes...

Bola Sepak Tanah Air (Malaysia National Football)

Football has existed in Malaysia for over a century, brought over by the British colonials towards the end of 19th century but soon picked up by the local Malays. The game soon thrived, as locals took to the game with passion. Not long after that in 1921, the Malayan Cup was created to suit the nation’s enthusiasm for football which leads to the founding of the Malayan Football Association in 1926. John Doyle once stated in his book ‘The World is a Ball’ that football reflects the identity of a nation. Malaysia truly reflects the triumph of our nation after our independence from the British Empire, as the Malaysian’s football team display a victorious game against the visiting Arsenal in 1975 bringing in a new era and strengthening spirits in the pride of our team. The final score of was 2-0 and both goals were made by the highly gifted Mokthar Dahari. The match made this young player name a household topic and soon he was shot into stardom. Even though his amazing story was cut short with a Muscular dystrophy which ended his life in 1991, he is still often regarded as Malaysia’s greatest symbol of football excellence and a borderline genius of the game.

Mokthar Dahari had become an icon and a national pride. He had left our nation with such a high standards and big success which is why after his departure our nation felt into a great depression and absence of pride and joy of the game. After the golden era of football in Malaysia, we had been disappointedly searching for the excitement and thrills of the style and skill that Mokthar Dahari had impacted us, since we failed to find in local football the nation’s attention was then set focus into the international stage of football. In the last few years, Malaysia was surprised and once again had given hope into our local football.  With the recent success in the AFF Suzuki Cup, the nation had woken up from its doldrums and brings back the pride in Malaysian’s football.
