How doth Mi Lady be?

How fair should my lady be?
Must she be fairer than snow?
Or as tanned as a mexican maiden in the sun?
Must she have the boastful bosom of a salsa dancer?
Or the bosom of a petite french waitress?
Can she have the sweet pink lips and an ocean blue diamond eyes,
Will she have the buttocks that exceed my pleasuring craze?
And will she satisfy my soul with her everlasting love?
Will she have the thighs that shall be a highway to her untouched virginity?
She might have a long wavy brown hair that flows like a chocolate river
Or a short golden toupee with the indications of black hardship.
However my lady is all I can tell u is that,

Love LockDown

(I found my scrap writing books when i was back in National Service and Highschool so I thought i might post some of my stuff up)

If love is a wonderful thing then why I have doubts? In the blue waves of the crowd she stands. Blend as one but yet strangely apart. The blue veil that wraps around her delicate face bold her unique displays of attraction. She stands there steady and strong but yet vulnerable. Her focus are on the commands but she couldnt help but to give a little peak every now and then. After each stolen moments of her peaks is followed by twitches in her cute button nose and the exhalation of air from her sweet strawberry pink lips which eager and begs in mercy for an act of affection or at least that is what i wished for.
When she stares away from her concentration her big watery eyes crossed mine which deflects in embarrassment, hoping she didnt notice my stalking habits. My heart bounces against my ribcage with every second i look at her.  

This is a story of an awkard boy who is going through a tough phase in an uncomforatble situation. This is a story about a boy who couldnt control his imagination and his feelings. This is a story about him getting it all wrong but yet alright still. This is a story of a boy named Adam. Adam is a unique boy who often misunderstood by his surroundings. Adam is now in a hall where a miney-minded banker brainwashing the newly high school released students with the propaganda of how money is everything in the world and how government is the greatest thing and this irritates Adam. Adam is not concern or remotely interested in the nonsensical lecture about money, he is more interested in the girl a few row behind him to the right. This maybe a story about Adam falling in love with a girl but it is not a love story of Adam and the girl. This is the story of how Adam pours his heart and soul even his words to a girl. This is also a story how the girl breaks his heart and soul. This is a story of how she brought Adam down to his knees and how Adam became a different man. This is a story of transformation of Adam from the poet and the lover to the devil and the heartbreaker he is today. This is not a love story, This is a tragedy.

1.      What is the rate of Lung Cancer in Malaysia?

 Lung cancer is a diseases that is consists of incurable and rapidly uncontrollable cell growth in the tissues of the lungs.  There are two main types of Lung cancer : small cell lung cancer and non-small-cell lung cancer. The non-small-cell lung cancer are sometime treatable with surgery while the small-cell lung cancer are better respond to chemotherapy an radiations. Lungs cancer are commonly caused by long term exposure to tobacco smoke. It don’t make a different if you smoke or not. If you’re around smokers you still have a chance of catching lungs cancer for 15 percent of lung cancer cases are accounted by nonsmokers.

Cigarette smoking has become one of the most iconic but yet deadly in history of mankind’s habits. It is parade in films and novels which is a great influence in getting people believing that smoking is a cool and social lubricant. It is a very tough thing that the world has to handle with and to get rid of. In Malaysia where we are very influence especially by Hollywood it is no surprise that Malaysian are great fans of cigarettes and big tobacco smokers. 

More than 10,000 Malaysians die from smoking-related illnesses every year, said Health Minister Datuk Chua Jui Meng. He said that 30% of those above the age of 30 suffer from up to 40 kinds of illnesses which include heart problems and 57 types of cancer. These are the rates of lung cancer in Malaysia caused by inhalation of tobacco.  It is not the highest is either Asean countries or Asia, but worldwide Malaysia is ranked number 28 on cigarette addicts. The reasons why we are not the highest or anywhere that high on the ranking of Lung Cancer is perhaps a surprisingly lucky chances or maybe a quick changes in habits and activities of those who do smokes.

2.      What has been done to reduce the number of Lung Cancer in Malaysia?

There had been many campaigns and efforts to reduce the numbers of Lung Cancer in Malaysia. The biggest and perhaps famous government campaign for this subject is the ‘Tak Nak’ campaign where they show and educate the public on smoking and the effects of lung cancers. Either than that the Malaysian governments has also provided cheaper and better treatments for the patients of lung cancers in local hospitals it may not help much to reduce but it is helping the lung cancer patients. Moreover, the governments has also been raising up the tax on cigarettes in order to put the prices on each box higher than before and from what rumors had been circling they might be rising it higher. The words from the smoking community had been an angry and displeasing tone but there are some of them that had given up and wishing to quit smoking. Overall the Malaysia governments had been very smart and good with their campaigns against cigarettes in which will help to reduce the numbers of lung cancer patients in the future.

3.      If it is a campaign that is making a reduction in the number of Lung Cancer patients, describe the campaign and whether it is good to be done in another country?

From the statistic and data that I had gather there are not much reduction of Lung Cancer yet to be seen from the campaign but there are a big differences in the amount of smokers since the campaign started. It doesn’t really make much an impact yet in the numbers of Lung Cancer but it has been preventing more upcoming smokers and reducing the numbers of smokers in which will reduce the number of lung cancer patients in the future.

It is a great campaign and I sincerely believe it should be done in other countries as well.

4.      If you think there is still a certain lack in the campaign what would you propose to make it more ethical campaign.

The campaigns done by the government are good in preventing other new cases of lung cancers but it lack a bit of support from the youth. Most of the  campaign that is introduce by the governments tends to get a bad reputation with the teenagers for just having the title government would completely destroy the chances of most teenagers to continue and reading further on. The government should spend their time in getting the higher influences. Malaysian governments should ask and encourages more new private campaigns that should focus on re-influence from the media. Other than that the Malaysian’s campaign are also lack of a proper guideline and short courses to helps people to handle their addiction to cigarettes.

5.      Is it appropriate to have a concert such as Live 8 to create awareness for AIDS? 

In my own opinion and from basic experiences it is more likely that a show and concerts are a place where the habits of smoking tend to be at an uncontrollable and a contagious rate. It is only possible to do such a concert to bring awareness on lung cancer if that concert was completely supervise and watched for by an authority but the public wont enjoy the concert much in this scenario. A full length concert just for anti-smoking and lung awareness would not only be a waste of time it would also be a was a big failure in the budget.

Assigments : Julia Gillard

The Mother Down Under : Julia Gillard

To criticize or comment Julia Gillard at such an early stage of her terms in power is not an appropriate way to judge a leader. In this early term this Wales born Australian woman is still just getting acquainted with the responsibilities that were thrust upon her on 24 June 2010 at the age 39. Julia Gillard was highly interested in the politics ever since her days in the University of Adelaide and after graduating from University of Melbourne with Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees in 1986 and working for 9 years in a law firm as a partner she made her way to a political career as Chief of Staff to John Brumby, at that time the Victorian opposition leader. And from that onwards she slowly and carefully made her way up with a little help from Kevin Rudd, the former Prime Minister of Australia.

So far in her first year in the office she had made her point of view on subjects and topics clear and decisive but I can’t help feeling she is not the right person in charge when it comes to certain policies such as international or foreign affairs.

“Foreign policy is not my passion. It's not what I've spent my life doing. You know, I came into politics predominantly to make a difference to opportunity questions, particularly make a difference in education. So, yes, if I had a choice I'd probably more be in a school watching kids learn to read in Australia than here in Brussels at international meetings.” – Julia Gillard

When a Prime Minister states such a remarks, I couldn’t help noticing her lack of understanding of her responsibilities and public relation skills. Each and every leaders in this world should and have to know that their responsibilities always lies and filled with foreign policies in order to achieve a greater standards of their countries and Julia Gillard should have known this and even if she had no passion for foreign policies she should had not made such a statement for it would only worries her citizens and jeopardize her reliability to do her work. I can only imagine how the Australians must had felt after this statement.

Julia Gillard standing on the other topics and policies are quite moderate and beneficial for Australia in some ways from her Health, Education, Climate Change and even Immigrations policies are fairly average and her actions on them are yet to be judge in further future when its effect are manifest. But there is one policy which I have to criticize and stand against her on the policies of Internet Control. When Julia Gillard took on the power of the Prime Minister she put herself on record as being in favour of a mandatory internet filter for Australia and justified her stance by saying images of child abuse and child pornography should not be legally available on the internet. But this reason was soon to put into questions when an Australian citizen by the name of Julian Assange was condemned by the United States of America for his whistle-blowing website, WIKILEAK that release of secret United States diplomatic cables and many more secret documents of many other countries. Julian Assange was condemned to be killed and asked Gillard for help all she had to state was:

“I absolutely condemn the placement of this information on the WikiLeaks website. It's a grossly irresponsible thing to do and an illegal thing to do" – Julia Gillard

Even after an Australian Federal Police investigation failed to find WikiLeaks had broken any Australian laws by publishing the US diplomatic documents, Gillard maintained her stance that the release of the documents was "grossly irresponsible". Many letters signed by lawyers and prominent individual asking Gillard to ensure Julian Assange legal rights are protected and condemn any physical harms on him.

This statement from Julia Gillard put her Internet Filtering policies and her methods of dealing with foreign policies into questions. Is she really trying to control the internet for the reasons she had said or is she trying to hide something. Even if she is not hiding something her foreign policies is still in question. Is she capable of making the right decisions for her country and fellow citizens or will she be mindless puppets to the Americans.  And can she make a tough but right decision. And have firm standings on things without being influence. 

 Julia Gillard in my point of view has a long way to prove her effectiveness and decisive control over her newly appointed responsibilities as a Prime Minister. So far in her regime she had very little assuring stance and statement to prove she is a worthy leader. If she wishes to be reviewed as a well known and respectable leader she have to make some changes in the way she approaches and handles the matters in the office. For now she is still a young leader who need a little guidance.

(AIDS):

1.      What is the rate of AIDS in Malaysia?

AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) represents the final stages of a disease on the human immune system caused by the incurable virus known as HIV ( Human Immunodeficiency Virus). According to the United Nations there are no less than 4.7 million people in Asia that are recorded to be HIV positive and around 480,000 deaths of AIDS yearly. Since 1986, Malaysia had been reporting with a 84,630 confirmation of HIV infections and 11,384 deaths caused by AIDS by the Ministry of Health. The rate of the HIV infections cases and AIDS death had been gradually increasing from it first report and reaches its peak in 2002 and since then it was declining progressively with a 8.14% decrease yearly.

In order to evaluate the ranking of Malaysia’s AIDS/HIV cases rating in the continent of Asia, we must first understand the factors that influence the rate of these cases on the country. The main factors that influence the rate are closely connected to the modes of HIV/AIDS transmission within the citizens, the main methods of spreading the diseases:

- The unsanitary sharing syringe needles for recreational usage of drugs

This method of disseminate is perhaps one of the most important methods for the diseases to spread and for many countries in Asia, there are rules and laws against the usage of drugs as recreational purposes and a proper  guidelines to operate an injection administrating agent that delivers drugs into the bloodstream. Nevertheless many drug addicts will tend to have very little concern to the laws. In Malaysia, these rules are strict and the penalties of recreational drugs usage are very heavy. With this said, the chances of HIV/AIDS being transmitted in this method are slimmer than other countries which has looser regulations.

-Unprotected sexual intercourses

 It is very clear that AIDS are also transmitted through sexual intercourses and no further explanations needed to be said on this method. It is human behavior to have sexual intercourses but the chances of infecting or getting infected by the diseases are drastically changed provided the activity is done in a safe and protected manner by using condoms. In many countries in Asia, it is consider taboo to speak on sexual intercourse within public and rather let religion answer this problem rather than teaching safe sex and Malaysia is no different. In Malaysia where religious teaching tends to frown on sexual intercourses before marriage and this may have help in a little way on the rating of AIDS cases in the country. Nevertheless, people don’t think of god when they are lust all heated up. 

Other than the mode of transmission of the disease the status of the country also plays a high important role on the influence of the rate of AIDS.  Compared to other countries Malaysia is a moderately educated and actively campaigning in such a cause. This campaigns to allow awareness of the epidemic and the education of the people also had been a major influence in the rating. So in conclusion, Malaysia may not be the country with the least cases of AIDS in Asia but it is also not the country with the worst cases of this disease.

2.      What has been done to reduce the number of AIDS in Malaysia?

There had been many campaigns and adverts had been made to bring awareness on the subject of HIV/AIDS especially ever since with the new millennia where the internet connection is allowing a capable of reaching and listening to others worldwide. There had been supports form the governments, examples of the efforts that had been carried out were the launch of a 5 year strategic plan to tackle HIV in 2006 which includes drug substitution therapy and needle exchange programmes for drug users but these are mostly to handle the HIV from the transmission of needle and drug abuse. Nevertheless these efforts that had been carried out by the governments are focusing on the one side of the transmission while leaving the sexual transmission untouched mostly fear of the subject and the naïve point of view which see talking about sex is taboo. There are some efforts that had been made to bring awareness about AIDS from the side of sex but most of them are mainly private or independent campaigns such as the internet campaign AIDSAware (HIV/AIDS Prevention and Non-Discrimination).

3.      If it is a campaign that is making a reduction in the number of AIDS patients, describe the campaign and whether it is good to be done in another country?

Most of the campaigns that had been making an effort to bring awareness and prevent them are making some reductions in the rates if AIDS.  The Malaysian’s governments strategic planning of the programmes on the control of drugs and needles in the country had been a great effort to reducing the numbers of AIDS patients but it is not the best campaign for its not a campaign but a law in the country itself. The campaign proposed by the government is merely well enough to do much impact on the reduction. Its Malaysia’s strict rules and laws against drugs are the main factors of reduction from the needles transmission of AIDS. From the Sexual transmission of AIDS Malaysia are still behind. Campaign wise Malaysia sets no example to be followed by any country but the strictly laws on drugs wise are a great example which many other country should take into consideration.

4.      If you think there is still a certain lack in the campaign what would you propose to make it more ethical campaign.

The governmental programmes on HIV from the point of needle transmissions are making a big chances as there are less drug junkies that are able to spread the HIV around and it’s cutting the chances of infections by a big advantage. Nevertheless the government also now needs to focus their attention more on the sexual transmission of the virus that will lead to AIDS. The amount of campaign to bring awareness on AIDS from the sexual transmissions side is weak and lacking many factors. One lack of information on how it transmits and prevention on it. The campaign to create awareness on AIDS in Malaysia are lacking support from the community especially the young adults. The main lack in their campaign is the focus of their audience target and the way of approach. It is very critical to understand the facts to prevent and effects of AIDS and most Malaysians need to know them but the one audience the campaigns have to really targets are the teenagers and young adults. For it is these certain group of citizens that are highly active in both sexual intercourse and misusage of drugs. Though there is campaign to stop drugs usage towards these groups  but there is an immensely huge gap where a sexual educations should be. Plus these campaigns should be more attractive and worth the attentions of the teenagers and young adults instead of the old dreadful plain campaigns that seems to be in process now.  A perfect campaign for Malaysia right now is a campaign to teach safe sex and sexual educations towards  these group of citizen and the public in a much more interactive and fun methods.

5.      Is it appropriate to have a concert such as Live 8 to create awareness for AIDS?  

Yes definitely one of the best methods are to get the celebrities involve in the movements to show that it’s a serious case but yet a case that should be out in the open and have people freely expressing their concern and asking inquires on the subject. These concerts are useful and very much needed to bring awareness on the subject of AIDS provided they give an informative but yet entertaining performance and strictly prevent any usage of drugs. In addition it should also have a free condom booths. Either than these little things that have to be mandatory, concerts such as Live 8 can and should be very useful to create awareness.
